Hello and Welcome!
My name is Deepa Rao-Sisario and I currently manage the Educational Technology Initiative at the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College. My primary role is to support faculty in developing their hybrid and online courses. This includes designing online activities/assessments and training them to use the technologies to meet their learning outcomes.
Additionally, I support the academic and administrative departments in using technology for projects such as the MSW program evaluation, online exam administration, and marketing communications. (Click on Projects to learn more.)
I have a Master’s Degree (Ed.M.) from Teachers College at Columbia University in Instructional Technology and Media. Before joining the Silberman School of Social Work, I was the Assistant Director for Instructional Services, and an Instructional Designer, at the Center for Academic Excellence & Support (CAES) at NYU’s School of Professional Studies. At CAES, I supervised a team of six instructional designers and oversaw the development of 100+ online and hybrid courses, facilitated workshops on teaching and learning, and served as the liaison for our academic departments.
